About me....
I am originally from Orland Park, Illinois, where my parents and brother still live. I graduated from Monmouth College in 2002 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I have two M.A. degrees- one in History from Western Illinois University, and another in Educational Administration from Saint Xavier University. I taught previously in Joliet and Galesburg prior to arriving at Robein. This is my ninth year here, and I am truly lucky to be able to work with the students and staff at Robein.
I have two children- Andy is 7 (8 in October) and Izzy is 4. It amazes me how quickly they grow and change. Andy enjoys Legos, video games, and going to the zoo and aquarium. Izzy is into Disney princesses and unicorns, and has now started to get into the "girly" stuff (shoes, painting her nails, jewelry, etc.) which I am slowly learning about.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my kids, running and basketball, going to concerts/shows (I finally got to see the Rolling Stones last summer to check it off of my "bucket list") watching movies and my occasional TV shows (Modern Family, The Blacklist, and House of Cards are my favorites). As I am from the southwestern suburbs of Chicago, I grew up a White Sox and Notre Dame fan.
